As you see it's pretty simple to make, all you need is: -1x 2222A Transistor -1x 22K Resistor -0,3mm insulated copper wire(Primary) -1mm insulated copper wire(Secondary) -9V power source Here is schematic for you: 275 Turns secondary and 3 turns for primary. Producing electricity from LEDs. Well, if you apply light to a LED it will produce a tiny amount of power. That is because of this property, LEDs are sometimes used as cheap crude light sensors. The amount of power that can be produced is tiny, and except for using them as light sensors it's pretty much useless. LEDs are similar in concept to solar cells, but they are optimized to produce light and are never going to produce much power. We’ve come a long way to gain an understanding of semi-conductors to see how they relate to making solar cells. A solar cell is essential a PN junction with a large surface area. The N-type material is kept thin to allow light to pass through to the PN junction. As you saw my results with 9 LEDs was about 200mV, well it's already something.
